I do not own any bakery shops. As such, I can only have the virtual cakes shop here on cyber world.
These are my creations … when I’m in baking mood or by request. Didn’t realize I have baked so much until I’ve compiled them here in my virtual cakes shop.
Jaden wanted Vanilla cake as his birthday cake. I baked this Classic Vanilla Birthday Cake with Caramel Pastry Cream for him. My first try. Learned it from Anna Olson’s Youtube.
Classic Orange Pound Cake using my new Natura cake pan 28cm. Perfect size for the cake. The cake has a nice tangy orange smell, fresh taste. Baked it in time for breakfast with a cup of English tea.
Asked Jared “Do you want to help Mommy to make your birthday cake?”
Jared replied “No Mommy. I would like it to be a surprise cake”.
One year older, one year wiser. This is his favourite cake … rich, moist chocolate cake.
Another chocolate cake from Bake with Anna Olson, Rich Chocolate Mousse Cake. A challenging cake and time consuming cake to bake, but it’s all worth it.
Pavlova with fresh berries for afternoon tea while MIL and SIL were in town. Crispy on the outside and marshmallow on the inside.
Jo and kids came back for visiting and her family loves chocolate cake. My first attempt of Anna Olson’s chocolate cake. Hubby played Anna Olson’s youtube on TV so that I can watch and learn from there. Family loves it.
Easy to make fruit pudding, perfect as after meal dessert or refreshment on a sunny day.
Made this Bruschetta as appetizer, tea time or as light dinner.
Using the balance of tomato paste and sauce from lasagna to cook Spaghetti Bolognese for lunch.
My second attempt of baking lasagna. A bit of work but satisfying.
Learnt this Summerset Greens with Duck Breast and Roasted Pine Nuts from Food Studio. We made this for Mom’s birthday in Jun 14 and I used smoked salmon for family Christmas dinner in Dec 14.
Aunty Jenny bought me a packet of Kirkland dried blueberries from Australia. I used them to make these blueberries muffins. Hubby said “It’s excellent”.
I wanted a simple, easy to do dessert for Christmas Dinner and made this Panna Cotta. I served it with Hershey’s strawberry syrup, blueberries and cherry. I’m happy with the presentation which matches the Christmas colours. Received good feedback from guests too.
My sister baked this Coffee Butter Cake for us and the whole family love it. It’s a lovely butter cake and easy to make.
Inspired by Quay Po Cooks and these Orange HCC with Orange vanilla custard cream filling are yummy too. I like the fresh orange juice and zest added into the recipe and love the tangy taste of the cupcake.
After tasted the Panna Cotta from Le Midi, I like it and I wanted to learn to make it. Googled on internet and made this myself.
We invited Jared’s school classmate home to do holiday homework together. I made these pink cupcakes for her to take home.
The cakes are nicer, lighter, prettier and I’m happier too. The cakes also look impressive as I’ve brushed up my photography skill … hahaha. This cake is not difficult to bake and it get easier the more you bake.
Thanks to Verna for bringing Hokkaido cakes to our house when the whole family was on fever marathon. She inspired me to try baking this cake.
I also bake when I have a bad day. This was one of those. Hubby and Jared love the light and airy cake. A good pairing between chocolate and the tangy orange taste.
Jo organised a wonderful and meaningful birthday bash for her son, Athan. I admire her for the thoughts of having kids from Children Home over to join in the fun at Athan’s birthday bash and I was truly honoured to being part of it and able to contribute these cupcakes for the party.
We were watching Junior Masterchef on Astro. Hubby asked “Can you make cupcakes? I miss your cupcakes”. I baked 24 medium cupcakes, Hubby ate 2 and they’re gone.
On Jared’s request, made these Almond Cookies on Raya Haji morning. Hubby was delighted too, ate some cookies and said “Like that lar”. The next morning, he ate again and said “This is really nice”. I said “You sure?” and he replied “You are the best, forget the rest”. No wonder they said the secret to man’s heart is thru his stomach.
I made these 16 cupcakes with Angry Bird figurines. Never I thought that I could do it but I did it. It was a great feeling. Jared was impressed that I could make these figurines. He said “Mommy you are so smart. I’m so glad that you are my Mother”. Hubby said, it is realising a new skill set that nobody can take it away. Sister said “You sure you did it?” Gosh……
Aubergines were a little undercooked but Hubby said he likes it. Expensive recipe especially the Feta and Parmesan cheeses.
Hubby gave me 10+ points. I asked “Out of 10?” He said “Yes, beyond 100%”. He had sweet mouth after the Pavlova. I must say this pavlova was nicer than the last few that I baked … crispy on the outside, marshmallow on the inside.
Jared said “Mommy, we have not eaten Pan Cake for a long time”. The following morning, we had this Pan Cake for breakfast.
Hubby said these cupcakes were awesome, one of the best that I’ve baked so far, he gave 9 out of 10 points.

Classic Victoria Sponge by Jamie Oliver (bottom cake) and myself (top cake) for Auntie YC’s birthday – Feb 11
Should have sifted more icing sugar, but the birthday girl does not like cake that’s too sweet.
Got to perfect it. Glad that Audrey’s guests loved it and she said the cake was a hit… BIG relief! .. that boost my confidence.
Hubby’s favourite since his university time in Melbourne.
I’ve forgotten to sift cocoa powder on these tiramisu.
